Confused?
We know you are because diamonds are a pandoras box (and sellers often use this confusion to worry buyers) even when you try to understand the industry 4c's: Cut, Color, Clarity, & Carat explained below.
BEFORE you get lost in the industry confusion remember you started out wanting a white, nice , real , diamond that shines, and then you discover the more you read the more the industry leads you to spend - scientific "research" buyers rarely grasp this. We sell without hyping up jargon we do provide ranges and information for those unwilling to accept laymans terms but we realize some people just like spending more money because they think or believe they will get a nicer more valuable diamond but the truth is a diamond is only worth as much as you are willing to spend. So remember forget the rest and buy the best Freddy Diamonds more real diamond for less. The competition cries out to Freddy to stop this straight forward approach and his ability to sell the cheapest diamonds.
Diamond Basics the 4 C's
Color
A diamond can come in a variety of different Colors. Fancy colored diamonds can be natural or treated. Colorless diamonds are D, E, and F. Near colorless diamonds are G, H, I, and J and get more yellow. Fancy diamonds can be naturally blue, canary yellow, champagne, or even black! (We can supply Fancy colors by Request).
To conclude, "the 4 C's" make up the grading of each individual diamond. The grading for each category (cut, carat, clarity, and color) determine the diamond's value.
Ultimately, you need to determine your own values and how much of the industry hype you wish when making a diamond purchase:
Carat
A diamond is measured in weight not size. An example of this is a diamond that ways 1.0 ct is usally about 6.5 mm in size. However, keep in mind a Millimeter is about the width of a dime. So Freddy Diamonds does not pontificate about one diamond being 6.5mm and another being 6.6mm often buyers do not understand the thinness of a millimeter just adding to the jargon and confusion of buying a diamond. The weight of 1.0 ct vs., the carat weight of 1.01 or 1.02 is literally about that of a grain of salt. So unlike other sellers Freddy does not tell you to pay more besides in a restaurant does anyone charge for a sprinkle of salt?
Cut
The Cut is how well the diamond "cut" it can range from poor-fair, to ideal premium. The truth is a diamond is a subjective item. Most of this terminology simply means "shiny" or "not shiny" logically all diamonds are either look good or do not. Remember a nice, white shiny diamond is what you started out looking for, think logically. "Shiny" is going to be a Good-Very Good Cut and that's the only type Freddy sells. Freddy Diamonds has plenty of testimonies on his main page about his sparkling diamonds.
Clarity
Whether a diamond has natural "inclusions" (or blemishes) - and to what extent - is represented in a diamonds "Clarity." Carbon spots and crystalline cloudiness (either or both of which are seen in virtually every diamond) are considered natural characteristics of the diamond, or inclusions. General Public general enjoys si1 Diamonds (Slightly Included 10x under magnification) means 99.98 % Eye Clean very nice* Do your best not to get caught up in microscope, think nice appearence.
