Another guy buys it before Richard Burtons man gets his chance .   Mr. Burton is furious tells the man go back and buy it get that diamond, the diamond is now to Burton for 1.5 Million! Richard Burton dies circa 1984 , Elizabeth Taylor goes to sell it back to a buyer in the Empire state building circa 1985.  She is offered only 500k, thats ONE MILLION dollars less than 20 years ago a 1 million dollar loss. She asks why so little when her husband paid so much.
